STEPS FOR GRILLED RIBEYE STEAKS PREP

A grill:

You must be familiar with grills. Here, we're going to employ direct heat, therefore the grill's surface temperature should be between 450° and 500°, but not higher. That is just above 50% on my grill, which is very hot. Get a $10 grill surface thermometer and get to know your grill before assuming that it should be at or about 75% on more typical grills. Although it will take a little longer than maximum heat, recommended surface temperature of 450° to 500° is more manageable for the more delicate grilled ribeye steaks, such fillet and ribeye.

Time and Final Temperature:

It will take 10 to 14 minutes to cook food on a 450° grill to an internal temperature of 140°. However, this is extremely dependent on the precise grill temperature, the thickness, the initial temperature, and the desired final internal temperature of the steak.

TIPS:

Remove any trimmable fat that is present along the edge. It does not enhance the flavor and when it melts, it will cause problems and flare-ups. It's crucial to season food at the right time. Unless you want to cook the meat for 60 minutes, avoid salting it for more than a few minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS

Start with ribeye steaks that are prime or choice. I prefer items that are 12–16 oz. each and between 1 14 and 1 12 inches thick. Resting the steaks for around 30 minutes at room temperature is one of the most crucial preparations. This increases the meat's temperature, making it considerably simpler to achieve the necessary interior temperature. Raise the temperature of your grill to between 450° and 500° while the steaks are resting. Medium-high is more like what most grills produce.

Clean and oil the grill, of course. Remove the majority of any layer of trimmable fat that is present while preparing it. Choose the seasoning you want to use on the grilled ribeye steaks. Just before grilling, once sprinkle it with coarse salt and 7:2:2 seasoning, which you would like to apply as a finishing touch over the luscious dish. Remove and rest for 5 minutes minimum. A light foil tent is a good idea here.
